On one of the searingly hot summer days for which 2018 will long be remembered, a group of tractor and engine owners made their way across country to the Dunsford Show, at the invitation of the organisers. Having been made very welcome and shown to our places on the showground, which sits in lovely countryside on the bank of the River Teign, we settled down in the shade and occasionally ventured out to talk to those with questions about what we had on display, as well as meandering around ourselves looking at the rest of the show.
So hot and bright was it that the cameras have not done justice in the pictures to the colours or the light! Twice during the afternoon, the vintage tractors processed around the ring, giving apparent pleasure not only to the owners, but to the spectators, too! In late afternoon, at the conclusion of the second parade, we trundled out of the showground and set off on our return journeys, still in the heat! A very pleasant day was enjoyed by all and we were grateful to the organisers for the opportunity to participate.
