40th Anniversary Celebration Day
We were blessed with good weather for the 40th Anniversary Celebration Day held at Cleaveanger Farm on Saturday 15th October courtesy of Paul and Mary Stanbury. The day was well attended by members old and new as well as some invited guests including those who were present at the instigation of the club back in 1982.
Many and varied tractors could be seen including 3 Marshall’s kindly brought along by their owners. There were several remarkable stationary engines and also some vintage cars including those in Paul’s own collection. The eldest and the youngest of the original members, Colin Rowe and Chris Goodman are pictured cutting the beautifully decorated cake which was made by Katie Williams.
Much archive material from the last 40 years was laid out for visitors to peruse and a 40th Anniversary booklet was published to mark the occasion, the cover of which was designed by our member Tony Folland. Varied refreshments were made and served by members and enjoyed by the many visitors throughout the day. All in all we could not have wished for a more successful day. Many thanks to all those who contributed and attended.
