John L.C. Flew from Broadclyst was a charismatic and inventive agricultural agent heavily involved in the sales and development of Allis Chalmers tractors and equipment throughout the South West in the 1930s and 1940s.
Some of the photographs created for his advertising campaigns are reproduced here, courtesy of their owner Imbert May, who preserved the original glass slides by buying them at the Cheffins Sale in Cambridge.
MDTEMG are particularly indebted to the late Mike Brayne who expertly produced such high quality photographs for us from the original slides.
